Team Members

Dr. Shadia R. Habbal is a solar physicist and the founder of the Solar Wind Sherpas. Based at the Institute for Astronomy in Hawai‘i, she has led 20 eclipse expeditions worldwide to study the Sun’s corona and the origins of the solar wind through multi-wavelength imaging. Her pioneering work has advanced our understanding of space weather and the Sun–Earth connection.
